Question Problem With Anjuta 1.2.4a

can somebody help me out?
i tried to install anjuta 1.2.4a at my debian 3.1r1. After i run ./configure the message show up:
XML:: parser perl module is required for intltool
i ignored this error and continue with make:
No target specified and no makefile found.

i suspect this is because i didn't install the pcre library. is it compulsory?

Hello and welcome to LQ. Whilst you may think this is a question for the programming forum, I would say it's not. Instead a better sub forum to post this would have been software.

Regardless of whether this thread gets moved or not, I think your problem is you need the XML::Parser Perl module, but you don't have it in your modules path. For me, it's installed in /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/ but for consistency's sake you should use your package system to install it.

The reason Make said there was no file is because configure didn't finish correctly to create a Makefile. I don't think this has to do with PCRE, but if such is required then you'd do best to install it as well.
