Problem in Mail Sending


I am getting the following error while sending mails using java. Actually this is a tool which dispatches multiple mails at a time. I installed this tool in Linux. What I need to do inorder to make this mail function work in Java on Linux OS. I am new to Java and Linux. Can anyone help me?

Exception(s) encounterd while SMTP Dispathces for MailShot '110125_sample1'
1 Fatal/UNHANLDED Exception: null
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.attract.imail3.javasmtp.SMTPThread.run(SMTPThread.java:172)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)

What is the name of the "tool?" Or is it some code you wrote yourself?
