Probelms with 3way hand shake

Hi
I'm trying to write a program that will do a three way handshake, but the problem is, I send a syn packet, and the server repleys with a syn, ack, but then my computer sends a rst, I'm guessing because the kernel thinks there is no deamon listen on that port.
The program can sniff in promisc mode, and send the headers tcp,ip are all correct.

I tryed to use bind, but still no luck

Thanks in advance

Can you assign the IP 0.0.0.0 to the interface and put it into promiscuous mode? That way the kernel shouldn't try to deal with anything...
