So I got my pc to be a dual-boot machine. Ubuntu and Windows XP.
I got a cd from a friend for installing Shake 4.1 on Linux. He told me that he runs in on Red-Hat fedora with no problems.
So I tried to run it via:
media/shake-v4.10.0606/bin/shkx.exe
but Ubuntu spits out a message saying that there is no application that supports this kind of file. All .exe files from the same directory give the same error report.
.exe files are for Windows. Linux doesn't use them. Either your friend gave you the wrong cd or there are also Linux compatible files on the cd (example: .bin, .sh, .tar.gz, .rpm, etc)
