number of rsh connections

Can we restict the number of rsh connections accepted by the rsh server to say 'n' connections?
I have a server which can cater upto 100 clients. I wish to restrict the number of simultaneous connections on the server, to reduce the load caused on the server. I am using kernel 2.4.

I do not use RedHat, but I seem to remember that you may be able to limit the connections by editing the /etc/xinetd.d/rsh file. This is just a guess though.

This is what i find in the /etc/xinetd.d/rsh file. I am not able to find out which line will limit the number of connections. Is there any other options which will do the same.

disable = no
socket_type = stream
wait = no
user = root
log_on_success += USERID
log_on_failure += USERID
server = /usr/sbin/in.rshd
}

Any help is appreciated.
