NASM compiling with an IDE

Hi There ;
I am searching for the IDE that can compile and debug a NASM code. I am using ubuntu 10.04 and I can make compile via terminal but I must view registers for educational purposes. Is there any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The only nasm I know of is an assembler. No (Linux) assembler that I know of provides any interactive register-viewing capability. Most developers would use a debugger such as gdb for that. I don't know whether nasm can produce gdb compatible output for source-level debugging. Perhaps the Gnu assembler, as, would be more suitable that way.

theNbomr;
Can gdb be used in Nasm programming? When I typed "man gdb" in terminal it say:
"You can use GDB to debug programs written in C, C++, and Modula-2. Fortran support will be added when a GNU Fortran compiler is ready."

Well, you can debug any program down to the individual instruction level. The real question would be whether your can use the source code in the debugger, and this I don't know. If you use the Gnu assembler, as, you should be able to do so, as it does support the standard '-g' option.
