nasm 0.98 vs. 2.03

Is there any reason slackware is still using nasm-0.98.39
when current version reached 2.03.01 ?

I guess Pat has not noticed yet. You may also consider yasm as an alternative. My package: http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/yasm/

My guess was lack of compatibility due to the version leap - maybe unused features on ia32.
I didn't found any docs about the 2.x release or what set's them apart.
And thanks for the pointer to yasm, I've build it for zenwalk...
