Meson automatically generates dependencies on header files.

Actually, it's the ninja back-end that does that. But tracking header changes has been a solved problem for a long time now, even using 'make': either via 'makedepends' or the newer approach relying on the output of the compilers -MD option.

As I said earlier, I really like ninja, but I'm not a fan of meson: it's all a little two pythony for me.
