mono compilation failure

Hi,
I am new to Mono and recently installed version 0.5 on Mandrake 10.started
the tutorial found at...
http://www.monodevelop.com/tutorials/helloworld.aspx

When I tried to compile the example I got the following error messages...

[Task:File=/home/tamtam/CSharp/Tutorials/HelloWorld/MyWindow.cs, Line=17,

obsolete(CS0612)

I am at a loss as to what to do to rectify the problem. I don't know if the
tutorial is compatible with mono version 0.5, or if I havenot installed the
mono bundle correctly. Am I missing something.

I downloaded Mono from...
http://www.mono-project.com/Downloads
and from the Linux installation
http://www.go-mono.com/archive/1.0.6...-installer.bin

I would really like to continue to develop c# with mono on linux to
experience cross platform programming. so any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem compilling the example.

Try changing line 18 to:

Code:

	public MyWindow () : base ("MyWindow")

Worked for me!
