Question like PE Explorer but free to edit exe dll files in Wine?

Hi I have been trying to edit an application to add functions from the dll and exe files and found PE Explorer that claimed to do some great things,
But I don't have the $$ to spend.

So douse anyone know of a similar but cheep or free option?

I am kind of new at this and would like to have everything divided up by resource,
And it should be ease to use.

Any ideas?

OK I think I finally got it http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php has a program that seems to display all the info that PE Explorer can,
And offers a number of tools that work fine.

I found it with a search in wiki for PE and exe dll that gave me this info CFF Explorer PE Editor with full support for PE32/64. Utilities, re-builder, hex editor, import adder, resource viewer. First PE Editor with support for .NET.

on the homepage I found out that the name was wrong but the application info was correct.

Its now called ntcore-Explorer Suite.

I would now like to know if this looks good to all of you,
And I also need a quick tutorial/guide on programing with Visual C++ and PE formats.

Any thoughts?

Anywhere PE Explorer will be great for viewing the PE, and it's made in Java, however it will not allow editing. OllyDbg may allow you to edit the symbol tables.

Cheers,
