kernel project- Block Asynchronous I/O

hi,

i wish to implement Block Asynchronous I/O presented in this paper below:

http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~muthian/baio-hipc.pdf

As this is the only documentation available on this concept im having a bit difficulty to find a starting point. I have done my homework of reading on kernel hacking, linux internals etc.

Could someone out here please guide me a bit. a few pointers, tips, .....inspiration!

thanks

The BAIO model has been implemented in the Linux kernel.
It seems the kernel has had AIO and a POSIX version for some time now. I don't know how this ties in with Block AIO but I'm sure one of them friendly LKML people could help guide you since you'll probably be basing your work on theirs (or so I'd hope).
