Kate gdb problem

Hi guys, I'm having the following problem while debugging with gdb in the Kate editor:

I have completed all the settings exept the Arg List which is empty and this is what happened

Starting program: /home/mauricio/penelope/Gustavo/pf08 < penfluo.in
During startup program exited with code 1.

What does "code 1" means?

it means there was an "exit(1)" in it. Using gdb is not trivial, you have to read the documentation. Its most important commands are: breakpoint, run, continue, list, print, next, step.
