How do I get a full kernel dump?

I'm afraid I don't understand your question. A kernel dump (whenever I come across it) is a memory dump due to a crashing interface or program. Please explain what you mean.

Yes that's what I thought.

I was asked by a third party to provide a kernel dump with regards to debugging an embedded linux problem. I questioned there request but they just repeated it as if I was a dumb a@@!.

I just sent them the dmesg output.

Maybe this sounds stupid ... but a kernel dump is equivalent to the report that the drwatson program spurns out in Windows ... Right ?
