Red face how to edit the C api's in linux help SOS


say if there are many API's in a project/product and say if
i edit a fucntion in the exsiting API or add some new line of code
into a the existing API which has been "maked" and
"configured" so how to make that change effective
in the exsiting API so that the aggain if i run the
program that should accomodate that change i have made.

The project is in C iam trying to reuse some of the funtions /edit funtions in the API using DDD as the debugger


2)how to make the C code interopratable on the both windows and linux

my ohter questions are as follows
1)how to make the code debuggble from scratch
2)hot to make C API's on linux
3)editing the existing API's
4)how to make "Make files"
5)how to make a "Build"
6)dealing with the installation of "Build"
6)how to make RPM's on linux

You would have to remake the code for the library you changed, and then reinstall the library as well. You don't have to recompile the code that uses the library though, as it is dynamically linked at runtime, and as long as you copy the newly compiled library over the old copy, the new code will be loaded.
