Gloox not working correctly Fedora 16 32 bits?
Hi everyone.
I am building a C++ app communication to a python app using XMPP. I used gloox for the C++ end. Following the documentation it seemed pretty simple so I build a small test program. My working computer is running Fedora 16 32bits. It compiled and my application was able to connect but nothing else would work. I spent 2 days trying to find solutions or informations but nothing. It can't receive nor send messages. I decided to check PDUs with wireshark to find that jabber.org was returning an error "not authorized". I tried playing with ssl/tls/sasl settings but in vaint.
Finally, I decided to try my code on another computer. This one is running Mac OS 10.7 with Fedora 16 64bits on a VM. I compiled it on Fedora and executed it. Everything worked without any problem.
I'm using Gloox 1.0. I couldn't register to the mailing list so I posted here. Is there any known problem with gloox? This seems pretty unlikely. If no one has an answer it's no big deal. Maybe someone with a similar problem with find this post and the "switch computer" solution will fix his problem.
