gcc message


what does this message mean?
passing arg 2 of `writeb' makes pointer from integer without a cast

void foo(int *ptr)
{
   ;
}

int main(void)
{
   int n = 4711;

   foo(n); /* Oops, foo() wants a pointer-to-int but I am passing it an int without casting */
}
You should study the documentation for the particular function you are calling more closely.
