error kernel compiling: depmod -ae -F System.map segmentation fault


hi guy
'm compiling a timesys kernel distribution 2.6.69 whit the following error:
Segmentation fault /sbin/depmod -ae -F System.map -b /<directory>

do you have any ideas?
