Post error: invalid lvalue in assignment


hello
Can any one tell what i did mistake here. so getting this error

Code:
if((sniff_buff=(char *) pcap_next(pcap_global_descriptor, &lpcap_hdr)))
{
  (char*) sniff_buff+=offset;

Try:-
sniff_buff += offset;
