Enabe Netbeans with Java Tiger (1.5)

In my quest to try and use Windows as little as possible, I have begun to develop Java code in Netbeans for Linux.

My latest project required the use of Generics, which is a feature that is new to Java 1.5 (Tiger). When I tried to compile the project, I got a message that read "Generics not supported in 1.4. Try using -source1.5 to compile." How do I accomplish this? I completed the program in Windows, which has the Tiger core installed automatically.

Do you have tiger installed and configure on Linux or what is the real problem?

What netbeans version are you using ?
You probably have somewhere the option "-source 1.4" set, as by default, Tiger's javac is accepting generics.

I *thought* I had Tiger installed. Since it seems to recognize that it's a generic I'm using and kows it's a 1.5 feature, it probally is. Any idea where the -source1.4 and -source1.5 option is so I could change it. This is Netbeans 4.0.

Here's one location with NetBeans 4.1, I guess that would be similar with 4.0.

Project properties -> Build -> Compiling -> Additional Compiler Options"

The compiler suggesting using "-source 1.5" is a positive clue of its own version being "1.5" or more ...
