Unhappy compareing different distributions

I am doing a project on compareing different linux distributions' purposes. These distributions include:

1 Yoper
2 Redhat 9.0
3 Mandrake 9.1
4 Slackware 9.1
5 SuSE 8.2
6 Debian

I need to find out their suitablity for different purproses such as: software development, server, multimedia, home use and office use. Can anyone tell me the best solution for these purproses? thank you.

The answer is

d) any of the above

This question has been asked 5 billion times, and the answer remains the same. Pick one you like, and use it. As far as your purposes are concerned, they are virtually the same.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
