clnt_create() vs clnt_create_timed() RPC APIs

Do we have a clnt_create_timed() RPC API equivalent in LINUX?

I know that clnt_create_timed() is available in Solaris.

I would like to know if we can replicate that behaviour in LINUX.
(If a combination of clnt_create() and clnt_control() or so)

Please reply ASAP

Thanks in Advance,
Madhu
