I'm a java programmer, and I've never programmed in C++, but by looking at the code it doesn't seem so different. Anyways I need to create a gui for a program my father wrote in C. If anybody has any suggestions as where I should get started whether it be books or websites, I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks for your reply. I want to code it all myself though. I don't particularly want to use an IDE. I know that this is going to take some work, but I'm willing to do it.
Can you tell me about the online material for this?
Hi,
I need to know about any online material which guides me for development of GUI in Linux. I am new to Linux but has a lot of courage for learning about its GUI programming.
I'm pretty new to the subject but from what I understand, you could use the QT libraries which someone pointed out to me, or you could use gtk+. I no very little about each though.
well, olevan is right, the best u can learn is to go thru the documentation given in the kdeveloper of KDE about QT. Moreover, if anyone is interested in pursuing it, he/she can read the book QT by O'rielly.
