Hi a friend and I are attempting to produce a 2d rpg from scratch but neither of us have any real experiance in programming. Pierre has a bachelors in computing from polytech I think and I have read a heap of tutorials on the web.
Getting yourself wet by touching some graphics APIs, AI, etc is a beginning... If you just wanne develop game but NOT game engine... Go google... there are lots of free game engine for you to develop your game...
