SynCE & RAKI error for Ipaq PDA

Hi all,

My Ipaq 3850 is having strange problems when trying to connect it to my Mepis 3.3 box. I get the following error when RAKI tries to initialize:

Quote:
Unable to initialize RAPI: An unspecified failure has occurred
Apparently, it seems to connect most of the way (i.ow. I hear the chime sound on the Ipaq) but still I cannot access files on it or anything from it.

I know this problem is likely to be a common one, but could someone point out why it might be doing this?

The ipaq's running Pocket PC 2002, not windows mobile 2003 or 2005, b.t.w.

thank you for your time!

Tom
