NFS DEB Package?
I have just installed Mepis 3.3 and am delighted with it. It worked "out of the box". Now I wish to implement NFS. Is there a single package argument (as in >apt-get install NFS) that will get the needid files, or do I have to get them individually? I'm inexperienced with apt-get and related commands. I already have the contents of fstab, exports (not included in mepis by default), and hosts figured out.
TIA, anyone!

You should use kmenu > system > Synaptic Package Manager and use the search button and type in NFS. Then if there is more than one package needed, you should see it and see descriptions of the other packages related to it.

Thanks, I'll give it another shot. I did do a search using SPM, but got far too many packages to make sense. Maybe there's a case sensirivity problem; I typed in "nfs".
I know from doing this years ago that there are only a half dozen or so packages required, plus some configuration. Wish my "golden years" would let me recall the details!

when you use synaptic .. you can search based on
Name and Description.. so you can read about
the package and choose the one that suits you..
