MEPIS: GNOME and upgrade to 2.14

I have installed GNOME in MEPIS 3.4-3 it is version 2.12. I would like to upgrade this to 2.14, is there a source I have to add to the existing sources.list like the debian sid or experimental??? I have doen that but does nto seem to have GNOME 2.14 refered in synaptic. What is GNOME 2.14 referred to for installation?

gnome 2.14 is slowly entering the etch repositores, i have some packages installed from updating that are 2.14 at the moment
