Compiz Configuration

Having a heck of a time here, In synaptic and installed compiz, and the configuration setting manager. However I still don't have anything. Tried to find a Driver for my Ati Radeon 9200 didn't see on and wouldn't know how to install anyway (New to KDE) Running simply mepis 8.0 kde 3.5, any help would be appreciated.

Menu> System> Mepis> Mepis X-windows Assistant (type in your root password)> AtI> Radeon (xorg) radio button...

You Know how to use the CD to reset your X-window? Boot from the Live CD, and use root for password and follow the above, it will let you write the Vesa driver to the hard drive where your install is located...

There is a script and sgfxi, but I will leave that for an explanation by others more knowledgable in how to use "sgfxi"
