[mepis 6.5] How to share internet?

I was using firestarter in Ubuntu to share internet.

Now I'm planning to use mepis 6.5. What is the easiest way to share internet?

Hi there,

I don't know if these are the easiest ways, but they'll definitely work:

This is possibly not the answer you're looking for but routers can be found pretty cheap. My d-link was $60 but have seen this model in the $30 range.

For me it was the best and easiest solution.

The NAT'ing of the home router will supply an extra layer of security also.

Even better, find an old "boat anchor" or "doorstop" & make a dedicated firewall appliance. There are several dedicated distros out there, SmoothWall Express, IPCop, & M0n0wall come to mind. These install on a hard drive, but there are also several that are floppy based. Sorry, I don't trust floppy reliability, so I can't name any off-hand.
