Thumbs down Xmms and Xawtv problem

I read quite a few threads about this problem with Xmms and with Xawtv, but I didn't find a solution yet.

I'm using Mandrake 10.0 (recently installed), and I have a Sund Blaster pci 128. I use Kmix, and the es1370 controller.

Xmms and Xawtv crash, but other programs work fine (noatune)

The odd thing is that it works fine in Mandrake 9

Did you try removing the soundwrapper prefix in the Menu? It worked for me.

I haven't had Xmms crash on me, but after upgrading from 9.2 to 10.0, Xawtv was always crashing and usually locking up my X server. I switched to using tvtime and haven't had any problems with it (I actually like it a lot more than Xawtv). Before I upgraded, I had never had a problem with Xawtv.
