Xen 3 on Mandriva 2006

Xen 3 is packaged for Mandriva 2006 but I can't get it to work. Computer starts booting but then restarts itself. Does anyone anywhere use Xen 3 on Mandriva 2006? Is there any documentation about using Xen 3 on Mandriva 2006?

I also noted there is no initrd for this kernel (i guess it is not needed?) and when I try to generate it, mkinitrd reports that cciss module is missing.

When I download Xen from Xen site computer starts, but many things (e.g. iptables) don't work - it reports that "modules.dep" is missing.

I have the same restarting issue. But, before it resets I was able to read an error:

DOM0 image is not a Xen-compatible Elf Image.

and further down:

Could not set up DOM0 guest OS.
