Mandriva 2006 - Greeting mail message from mandriva can't be removed

Everytime I go to KMail, I see that "Welcome to Mandriva" greeting in the inbox folder.
Moving it to trash and hitting delete doesn't do anything.
As soon as I go back to KMail, there it is again in inbox.
Hitting delete says (at the bottom left of the kmail screen) "deleting message failed"

No matter what, that message keeps popping up in my inbox.
How can I get this removed?
