What happened to BibleTime?

I have 2006 x64 and the pkg bibletime is nowhere to be found using the package manager.

I found the rpm elsewhere and when I try to install it says missing libsword-1.5.8.so.I cant find this either.

Is there any way I can get this working or will I have to go back to the non-64 version?

Thanks

I have both GnomeSword & BibleTime on my AMD64. I would have to assume that they're available for you somewhere.

I would think so also.Using the software installer I can see all the bibletime language packs but not the program itself?

I have used the same urpmi links for the last year with 4 or 5 different mandriva versions and its always been there?I have tried switching sources and its still not there

When I try to install the lang.packs it says cannot install...unsatisfied bibletime.I do not see it in the package uninstaller list either so I'm pretty sure I dont already have it installed. Is it possible its partially installed?

Did you get yours with the package installer?

Thanks

Yep. Debian has had them since the 1st AMD64 release. I looked around, and you're right, a 64-bit version is apparently not available for Mandriva.

Don't wantto start a flame war, but rather than subject my 64-bit machine to 32-bit apps, I'd consider a change in distros. Debian is great. I started with Redhat/Fedora, and eventually set up Debian on one of my machines. Once I had them running side by side, there was no contest for me about which was the more satisfactory environment.

Yes I think a change may be in order.I'm getting rather tired of all the quirks in mandy. For instance my copy and paste are not working right now. They will tomorrow.Go figure. And the stupid syslog that pops up everytime I open something.Where did it come from?

I'm still kinda new to linux.I do have the install,GRUB,lilo thing figured out with a lot of help from saikee and a few others.

I have an unbelievable number of linux iso's burned.I'm sure I have a debian somewhere.I'll give it a try.

Thanks for looking for the package also.At least now I know I'm not completely crazy.

Pipedreams give PCLinuxOS a try. It is Mandrake based. www.pclinuxos.com

Or like rickh stated move to Debian. With the sources.list I am using in my Debian system I have access to over 22k packages all installable via Synaptic.

You could try download the rpm from here:
"BibleTime - a bible study tool for linux"
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...p?group_id=954

Or just download the source and compile it yourself.
