Will BibleTime 1.4 run on Linare 2.0?

Yes, it will work on Linare 2.
However, you need to download and install addtitionl packages such as the ones given below.
libnas2
openssl -0.9
libsword3
sword-1.5
The bibletime-1.4 package depends on those packages. So ensure that they are installed before bibletime-1.4.
The packages are available at rpmfind.net .

I tried installing openssl -o.9 and I got a message saying that it depends on libcom_err.so.3 which I can't seem to locate.

The libcom_err.so.3 gets installed by the krb5-libs package.
You can try installing the openssl-0.9.7b-74.i586.rpm package using the following command :
rpm -ivh openssl-0.9.7b-74.i586.rpm --force
Then install other packages in this order :
libsword3-1.5.7-1
sword-1.5.7-1
libnas2-1.6-3
bibletime-1.4.1-1
