URPMI Setup

OK,

I've been using Mandrake 10 CE and I keep having difficulty with setting up URPMI...I have used Easy URPMI, but I can't get it set up to work correctly...the packages all have bad signaures...I'm selecting cooker and it is adding main, contrib and plf, but again, the signatures are bad...can anyone help??

Today around noon (Central Standard Time) the servers began to go down one by one. You are lucky if you can get any to work. I am not sure what the cause of this is, but hopefully this will get resolved soon.

You should keep trying all the servers until you get one that works. It will take a while, yes, but if you are running a clean install of 10 you will want the security patches. However, I would wait to upgrade the programs etc.

urpmi.setup is the program that I use to configure my sources. It's really nice.

I checked most servers on Easy Urpmi and the only ones working were UK servers. I hope the situation will be resolved soon, I can't live without ftp sources.

edit. Oh and the UK servers are horribly slow (because half the world is using them right now I think)
