Updating 9.1 to 9.2 FTP
Hey, can I update my version of Mandrake from 9.1 to 9.2 via FTP? I would prefer someone tell me the GUI way, but if it's not possible then I'll do it the way in which you reccomend
Mandrake is not known for easy or working distro grades. It works for some, breaks for most. The only two ways I have tried is by urpmi and with new cd set.
urpmi was made a a .rpm installer/dependency fixer not Distro upgrader.
urpmi and a cd upgrade both broke my system when I tried.
Now I always keep my /home on a separate partition. When I get a new MDK cd set I do a full install not an upgrade. All my settings are saved in my non formated /home partition.
