Hey guys, I just installed Mandrake 10 with the GNOME desktop. I am running XFree86 v4.3.
I was playing around with the rpm installer/manager and installed K3B. My desktop after logging back in was KDE. I played around with it and really like some elements it has over GNOME but I like somethings GNOME has over KDE. I uninstalled K3B and a few KDE dependencies but I would like to know how I can switch back and forth between GNOME and KDE so I can test them.
All my settings are the way I want them on GNOME but I would like to experiment with KDE. I would like to be able to switch between the two and select what I want to use on logon, is there anyway to achieve this?
I have disabled all GUIs upon loading so I login on my user and enter "startx" command and it loads X Windows with GNOME, thats how I am logging on right now, is there a tag I can stick at the end to log in using KDE and visa versa?
I was raised on Windows NT so Linux is entirely new to me. I feel lost alot of times so please treat me like a child in your answers, thanks
