Reproducing video problems in mdk 10.0 community edition
Hello...
I just installed mandrake 10.0 community edition on my computer yesterday... i have the Totem Movie Player installed but whenever i try to play a video (MPG or DivX) I just get a green screen.. i installed mplayer using urpmi , and i get a full green screen.. Do someone knows whats the problem? or where can i search for something like that?
I am sad to report I have the exact same problem... I haven't been able to solve it for years. The folks at mandrake bugzilla ignores it, and since it seems almost nobody has this problem nobody bothers to help.
I have had it since Mandrake 9.1 (in 9.0 it worked). I don't use video much so it is not a big deal. But with all this time since 9.1 it is getting quite annoying!!! I am very close to changing to slackware all together.
Maybe we can solve this together..? What video card do you have? Have you tried Mdk10 Official? I have an onboard Savage4 (which sucks).
