1) Make sure you have the tylenol handy
2) Pull out the latest Swimsuit Issue (or run out and buy it now, you'll need cool down material, trust me)
3) Start scourging (sp?) the internet, mainly google, for printer install tips
Start here
www.linuxprinting.org to find drivers, the newer your printer, the better luck you are going to have. Once you get the drivers, you can try to install them, they probably won't work however. Next thing to do will be to go to the makers' site, HP I suppose? Chances are they will have *something* there. They might have a tutorial too. Don't look for an absolute match, chances are one for a very similar model will work. Lastly, shoot of an email to HP, I'm sure they have a linux help email address, those companies are usually pretty good with that. I emailed Lexmark and got a very fast reply, although I had already solved it. Chances are the method they give you will work, however, it will probably not be the *best* method. Make sure to give them way more info than you gave us about your system though!!
Good luck...don't give up, it took me almost a year (on and off).
