Unhappy No mouse usb, serial, or ps2 in manrake 10.1

When i installed Mandrake 10.1 I was able to use my mouse to navigate the installation,
when the installation was completed and i re-booted, my mouse would not work, I have tried 3 differnt mice, USB, Serial, And ps2. I have tried re-inastalling manrake about 6 times trying differnt things, No mouse during installation, USB Mouse durring installation, I tryed changing all of the mouse settings in the post-install config with no luck

I had a problem like this before. When I booted the computer, Ctrl-Alt-F1. Login as root.

drakconf

navigate to hardware->mouse

Experiment with different mouse settings. Ctrl-Alt-F7 will bring you back to X. See if your mouse starts moving.

("Any PS/2 & USB Mice" was my setting, but the mouse would only work when I told it to use the "Generic PS/2 mouse")

You may also want to make sure the "udev" service is started on boot. If this is disabled, the mouse won't work no matter what modifications you make to the xorg file.
