ndiswrapper error when eth0 disabled

when I delete the network eth0, wlan0 throws a ndiswrapper error at boot.
I looked but cannot find the error output too any logs. The bootup will hang and I have to force a shutown by holding down the power button. If I remember right it is an invalid call to /from ndiswrapper. This error happens 2 out of every 6 bootups so it is'nt happening everytime.

Now if I keep eth0 up in my network, the bootup is slow because eth0 looks for the connections, fails, but wlan0 always connects. This has only been happening for the past month or 2. I have'nt made any changes that would affect this.

mandriva 2006, compaq presario m2000, netgear g/b wireless card/router. WAP enabled. Thanks in advance for any help offered.
