i was compiling mplayer-plugins.tar.gz and when i got to the ./configure argument i got this message at the end

checking for MOZPLUG... configure: WARNING: mozilla-plugin not found
checking for MOZPLUG... configure: WARNING: firefox-plugin not found
checking for MOZPLUG... configure: WARNING: seamonkey-plugin not found

Sorry for taking so long, it's a link to the dev file mentioned above.

In that same directory you can find a version of firefox to suit that dev package. scroll down to Mozilla....

ftp://ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/mandr.../main_updates/

I'm taking a bit for granted here, But I've had no troubles with mplayer or firefox from rpm's.

Is it possible that that source file is looking for firefox in another place?

hope that helps a bit.

I'm not sure, Have you tried the rpm for the mplayer-plugins?

The readme and or the configure file in the tar.gz will normally indicate the default file locations.

Sorry, I had a look around but I haven't seen a rpm for it.

Have you tried to convert the src to rpm?
