The death of MDK?

Oright,
i didn't update MDK 9.2 after i install it, and can't, i would have to get my brothers cable modem to do it.

Mabe i will try the update-menus -v thingy.
Im going to have to do another partition since i deleted it.

How would i go about doing the update-menus -v ?
this is the only problem i have, this and the hang problems.
so i might give it another shot. if not, i wait another 6 months for another release.

I wonder if this is the death of MDK.
with ppl's drives destroy and all these bugs. how many is going to join the club now?

nah,

this is not windows, and mandrake did not invent linux.

any toothing problems they have on a release are just that. i've learned to shy away from anything brand spanking new, in fact, i tell everybody to never by the latest and greatest computer hardware. buy last years, not only are you getting them at near cost, but the newest software will run on them better.

as for mandrake, they are in the right place at the right time, they just got to stay floating and keep their costs low . other than that i would suggest to them to find ways to add on to their product in ways of application development, or maybe linux tutoring / consultation. after all, all the major companies are behind linux.

who knows, maybe they'll be made part of AOL just to spite Bill!

ps.
as i'm writing this, bill gates is bullshitting the world about "longhorn" and my system is going thru a major Service Pack 4 whereby just about everything is being backed-up on a "NtUninstall"

sure....

yea Mandrake didn't invent linx and i know that.

I don't know why they would release 9.2 now. they know its buggy. it looks like the only reason they did it, was for the money. thats all. they had a plan for club members to get the new release first. they was hoping for ppl to join so that they can get more ppl to become a club member. thats how they get paid.

But im going to re partition space for mandrake, n try it al over again.

stick with 9.1 for now man, after x-mas will be soon enough to put on 9.2

right now, you need a hassle free linux fix, go 9.1 !
