Hi,
just upgraded an MDK10.0 to MDK10.1 - the fourth CD in the install set is labelled KDE3.3, and a look at the directories would confirm they are KDE 3.3 files.
But the installer never calls for it and KDE stays at version 3.2
I tried a new install on a spare HD drive. Same thing - KDE comes up as 3.2.3, not 3.3
You can add the kde directory to your urpmi sources using rpmdrake and then do an upgrade. Just beware that you could have problems with kdm and installing quanta. You will need to remove any references to quanta, so that you can install kdewebdev. KDM doesn't work properly in kde 3.3 on the Mandrake cd's but there is a fix for it somewhere.

Thanks for the reply. I had already tried as you wrote, but it wanted to download everything off the net (I'm on dial up). , ignoring disk #4. If I disable the net update link rpmdrake does nothing.
Anyway, no matter - this is 'powerpak' purchase, so I'll take it up with MDK support. Although, I suspect I'll be disappointed as always.
Originally posted by Jongi Once the RPMs are listed will Mandrake automatically update to 3.3 when you install the RPM? I assume after a restart or ending of a session.
It didn't for me. But it doesn't matter any more. I've moved to SuSe
