boot option?

I don't have it in the boot options....
I tried to make the interactive initialization but there's a problem: it runs until

INIT : Entering runlevel :5
Phase of interactive init
init of the harddrake service (Y)es/(N)o/(C)ontinue [Y]

(That's my translation from italian, I don't know if it's really like this but it should sond like...)

and then it blocks and I can't do anything....

ok, i have figured a way to arange this...
this way i think that the pcmcia just won't work but if it is fine with you...

I reinstalled Linux and at the post-installation configuration screen i went to cinfigure the package, system, and unchecked pcmcia there

now Linux is working fine

One way to specify boot options :

If you boot in lilo, hit escape at the boot sequence. You should get a prompt boot:

Now enter the lilo boot entry (e.g. linux) with your options

boot: linux nopcmcia

To include it permanently, boot up and edit /etc/lilo.conf. Add the option on the append line. Then run lilo (need to do this as root) and next time you reboot it should pick up the option.

(If you use grub or some other bootloader it is a bit different, but the same general idea).
