Hi All

I am trying to follow the kdevelop tutorial, a simple "Hello World" Program

I get the following error on build project:

libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libGL.la' is not a valid libtool archive

So I d/loaded and installed the current libtool tarball libtool-1.5.2.tar.gz and installed - got same message

re-installed to check I didn't miss an error message and tested version:

root@localhost libtool-1.5.2]# libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.3 (1.922.2.110 2002/10/23 01:39:54)
[root@localhost libtool-1.5.2]#

This is driving me nuts - been at it for three evenings!!

Solution (thanks to KDevelop forum) its an Nvidia cockup:
nvidia comments on this:

This is a problem with the libGL.la generated by the nvidia-installer. Please edit /usr/lib/libGL.la, and replace the line:

# Generated by nvidia-installer: 1.0.5

with

# Generated by nvidia-installer: 1.0.5 (for use by libtool)
