Since I have no internet connection yet and can't use urpmi to its fullest, I followed some directions from here and managed to figure out a process to transfer programs into \usr\src\RPM\RPMS\i586 and point rpmdrake to that file for more software. However, I can't seem to just drag and drop from one konqueror window to another. It says I don't have permissions and am restricted. So, the only way to get the rpm into that folder is to double click the file, let the installer come up and ask me to save and then navigate to that folder and so on. Well this is fine for one, but I have a CD of about 45 files to transfer and this seems like a pain.
Also after spending time downloading on my W2K system, transfering to CDRW and going to the MDK machine and trying to install only to find there are more files to download is frustrating. I just want to load Koffice and try it out, but the only successful installs have been karbon and kvisio. the rest need more lib's.
Sorry for being longwinded, but I missed the Superbowl because of this! (NOT) Please help in any area you can.

Run Konqueror as root, by doing, "$kdesu Konqueror", that way you can copy the files without that permission denied error. A better way would be to do it from a console e.g. by doing
#cp /mount/cdrom/*rpm /usr/src/RPM/RPMS/i586/. (change that to yur device name and directory)
