Ok. Im using redhat 9.0 running on gnome. I have tried about 20 rpms and 1 of them has worked. When i open them it does the "Proccessing Headers" part. then usually where it will be done and you can continue to installation. it just disppears. i guess it crashes but its getting very annoying because i can't get anything to work. The only one i got working was Crossover Office...
usually when you install rpms by double clicking them and they begin to load and just disapear that means a dependancy is missing. try installing your rpms from the command line. as for your segmentation fault one im not sure. try and find the rpm somewhere else.
i did try installing it in command line. thats when i got that first error. but i installed it and now i get the segment fault. anyone know what that means? i tried downloading it from somewhere else but i got the same thing.
It sounds like your rpms have been corrupted to me. I think it can't find files it needs to install. I would try downloading it again, or finding somewhere else (maybe apt?)
i just found something that said it means there is a memory problem. that it is trying to use memory that is not allocated for that program or you just dont have it. ofcourse im on an older laptop with 128mb of ram. thats probably them problem lol. to bad though i really wanted to try this program..
