Have you checked your /etc/services file to see if it was overwritten during the upgrade? Is there a service in /etc/services that matches your entriies in $INFORMIXDIR/sqlhosts? Has a firewall been enabled locall on the machine that would prevent your tcp connections from opening? Just some initial ideas.

Thumbs up

Mistake found!

Following background:
The system where Informix is running is a notbook. After upgrade to Mandrake 10,
it doesn't run in my net. So I don't realized that the upgrad unconfigured the eth0 device.

After rekonfiguring eth0 all is ok!.
Informix runs again.

I'm glad it's working. Please don't take offense at my questions. I always start with the very basics in troubleshooting. I've found that I shouldn't take anything for granted, especially when I can't log in and look at things for myself.
