how to use urpmi?

how do i use urpmi to install programms? like you can use apt-get install packagename in FC
but when i do urpmi gnome it just gives me a list of programs that has the word gnome!!

i want to install the latest gnome using urpmi so that dependencies can be taken care of.

any help?
