Hey, Having some problems here....

I am running Mandrake 8.2 and I recently tried to install the newest version of gaim from source... And I think I might have messed something up. I installed a newer version of glib and pkg-config to accomadate gaim... Never got gaim installed correctly... when ever I would attempt to make I would get a glib error.

What happened is that now when I click the Home icon... either on the desktop or in the taskbar, it will bring up Konquerer(under KDE) and hang... the scroll bars look like they are constantly being updated but nothing appears where the files should be. I need to XKill it to get rid of it. If I type my home directory manual in Konquerer it loads fine...

mmm... man.... don't mess with glib.

I had the same problem... though It started to nag me after upgrading to 9.2.

My home didn't want to work from its icon (launcher). What I did was fairly simple:
I changed the command that the home launcher runs:
It says now: konqueror --profile filemanagement

Give it a try... It might work.
Tell me if it does
